0Bethel College is a four-year, private, primarily residential, liberal arts college. It is the oldest Mennonite college in North America. Bethel College educates leaders through faith and learning, building its programs on four central values: discipleship, scholarship, service and integrity. Distinctive elements of a Bethel education include requirements in cross-cultural learning and religion and an emphasis on undergraduate research, internships and study abroad. Bethel also offers a four-year graduation guarantee. Bethel welcomes more than 500 students from a rich diversity of backgrounds. Students may participate in campus spiritual life, fine arts activities, sports and more than 50 clubs and organizations. Bethel’s academic buildings, including its historic Administration Building and the Krehbiel Science Center and Mabee Observatory, are clustered around the Green, an open grassy area where students gather. The college year consists of fall and spring semesters, a January interterm and a summer term.
