On Independent Living Radio, disabilities do not exist. Here, we convert disabilities into abilities. Independent Living Radio’s mission is to educate and make society aware of the issues surrounding the disability community. Here we battle the ignorance and prejudice of a society that refuses to learn the appropriate language when addressing people with disabilities. Not only do we cover topics like: Assistive Technology, services, laws, and activities from different parts of the planet, but we also provide music and entertainment for everyone, at any age, as we believe our youth are integral to ensuring a more inclusive present and future.
