Kovsie FM

KovsieFM is the ultimate campus radio station. We were founded by a group of students and began broadcasting in 1978 inside the UFS campus cafeteria. In 1995, we were granted a broadcasting license by the Independent Broadcasting Authority of South Africa (ICASA), on the frequency 97.0 FM. We broadcast in English, Afrikaans, and Sesotho, and our focus is on the youth between the ages of 15-30. Our mission includes community involvement, training and development, being a platform for local musicians, providing an accurate, unbiased news service, and sustainability.
