KYKD is the strongest FM signal on mainland western Alaska. It broadcasts to the vast Yukon/Kuskokwim Delta from Bethel, the hub village of the Delta providing services to 56 other villages of the region. This part of Alaska is home to primarily the Yup'ik people, one of the major groups commonly known Eskimos. The purpose of the station is to bring Christian music and teaching to this portion of rural Alaska. It is part of the "I-AM" Radio Network, a small Christian radio network headquartered in Nenana, Alaska. It is rebroadcast from translator stations in the villages of Quinhagak, Hooper Bay, Aniak, Togiak, and Kalskag.
